ACES is pleased to announce two senior level promotions! Andrew Hall has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, and Andy Whitesitt has assumed a new role titled Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.
In Andrew’s new role, he will oversee the Portfolio Strategy, Portfolio Modeling, Resource Planning, Origination, and Transmission teams. Andrew joined ACES in January 2005 and has since gained a broad range of knowledge. In his previous role as Vice President of Portfolio Strategy, Andrew focused his efforts on managing the long-term portfolio and risk management strategies for several Members and Customers. Prior to joining Portfolio Strategy, Andrew spent 11 years in ACES’ Transmission Department in various capacities, culminating in the role of Executive Director of Transmission Services.
In Andy’s new role, he will continue to oversee ACES’ Business Development function, and will also oversee the Fuels, Weather, and West Regional Trading Center teams. Andy joined ACES in July 2003 and has held various positions in power, natural gas, and business development, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer. His industry experience includes fundamental and technical analysis of the energy markets; trading physical and financial power, natural gas, heating oil, crude oil, emissions, and renewable energy credits; fuels origination; pipeline and storage agreement negotiations; and development, implementation, and analysis of hedging and fuel procurement strategies.
ACES took this opportunity to leverage Andrew’s and Andy’s considerable expertise and knowledge to reassign responsibilities for certain departments to allow for the focus and oversight needed to further develop these areas.
