ACES2021 Highlights-2

ACES Hosts 16th Annual Members Conference

ACES Hosts 16th Annual Members Conference

ACES hosted its 16th Annual Members Conference on June 3 and 4 at the Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. This year’s event included in-person and virtual attendance. We were excited to have almost 300 in-person attendees, with more than 100 participating virtually.

The agenda featured industry and other experts who discussed the future resource mix, balancing reliability with the push for clean energy, what to expect for this summer’s weather, emerging technology megatrends, the economy, among other topics. We also had a panel of cooperative CEOs who shared their insights on the most significant challenge they have faced since becoming CEO, and provided some great takeaways for our attendees.

Jon Colby, an expert in communications and improv, provided the conference keynote. Jon’s session was highly interactive, engaging, and fun, and he had the audience in stiches! It was a great after lunch session!

ACES would like to extend a special thank you to Don Gulley, President and CEO of Southern Illinois Power Cooperative, for serving as Master of Ceremonies.

We appreciate the feedback we received from attendees, which was overwhelmingly positive. The conference was recorded and videos will be made available on the conference website in the next week or two.

We look forward to another great conference next year! Mark your calendars for June 2-3, 2022! If you have any suggestions for speakers for the 2022 conference, please contact Leah Smith at lsmith@acespower.com.
