Internship Summer 2024 - Carmel, IN

ACES 2024 Summer internship program

Trader – Carmel, IN

This position will participate and support the scheduling and trading team’s efforts regarding all aspects of the ACES customers’ portfolio optimization. Responsibilities will include the areas of trade strategy development, native load support, transaction execution, energy scheduling, as well as, load management and transmission purchases. The processes and procedures surrounding this environment will be reviewed, developed and supported by this position.

SQL Developer - Carmel, IN

This position is responsible for database and ETL application analysis, design, development, modification, implementation, and support. Additionally, this position is responsible for data modeling design and implementation. This position will need experience with the database and ETL tools in use at ACES including Oracle database, SQL Server database, and SQL Server Integration Services. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a stable and functional database and ETL application environment by working with external vendors, external support staff, and ACES staff.

Technical Service Analyst - Carmel, IN

This position will be responsible for providing ­the first point of contact for the users who call our IT Technical Service Desk. While providing the highest level of customer service, the Technical Service Analyst responds to incoming requests, tracks all information in a tracking system and uses a knowledge base tool along with their expertise to resolve tier 1 requests in a timely fashion. This position will address end user requests and issues, attempting to provide resolution or coordinating resolution with IT staff and/or outside support vendors as appropriate. This position must adhere to and maintain SOC1 compliant IT practices and procedures.

SQL Server Database Administrator - Carmel, IN

This position is responsible for installing, developing, implementing, and administering corporate databases and data warehouses. Additionally, the position is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of corporate databases. This position will track and understand current and emerging database technologies and will lead the deployment effort of new technologies. The database administrator will develop and maintain SOC1 compliant IT practices and procedures.

This position will be responsible for the management of generation and native load requirements of any participating member or client. Candidate will be working a rotating shift to provide 24-hour coverage. Previous business experience is preferred but not required.

Capacity & Fundamentals Analyst - Carmel, IN

This position will be responsible for coordinating delivery of capacity market services and fundamental analysis to ACES’ clients. They will lead a cross-functional market analysis team to evaluate North American power market fundamentals, including analysis of future resource mix changes, environmental program development, new technology opportunities and cost, and resource adequacy reform.

Trading Control Coordinator - Benson, AZ

This position will be responsible for maintaining a sound trading control environment.

Transmission Engineer/Analyst // Sr Transmission Engineer/Analyst - Carmel, IN

This position is responsible for providing technical detail and support to the Transmission Analysts in relation to model(s) set up, data mining, report writing, trade verification and participation in industry training. This position will also use the provided training to become more involved in consulting work and everyday trade strategies for members and customers. The Transmission Engineer I will also be responsible for providing support and answering questions relating to the physical operation of the transmission grid.
