The Settlement group is led by Karen Pierson, Director of Administration and Accounting Services.

"Because we are so thorough and detail-oriented in our review of settlement data we catch a lot of mistakes. By using the ISO and RTO dispute resolution process we've saved our Owners and Clients literally millions of dollars."
This group assists Owners and Clients by carefully analyzing settlement data to verify the accuracy of the dollar amounts and volumes, prior to issuance and payment of invoices. Some of the specific areas handled by the Settlement group include:
- Settlement of bilateral power and transmission service transactions
- Settlement of bilateral natural gas and gas transportation transactions
- Settlement of transactions occurring in structured ISO and RTO markets

Finance & Accounting
Leadership
The Finance and Accounting group is led by Drew Dunagin, Director of Finance and Accounting.

Drew Dunagin (pictured on the left side of the image, next to Reed Reimer, Accounting Manager):
"The Finance and Accounting group primarily focuses on providing accurate and timely financial data that fosters the effective management of the business. We spend a great deal of time evaluating our costs and determining fair and equitable fees for our Owners and Clients. Another priority of our department is safeguarding the financial stability of the organization by managing our investments in a manner that is consistent with the company's financial policy."
This group is responsible for maintaining accurate financial accounting records for APM, and for the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Additionally, this group manages all treasury functions of the company as well as budgeting and forecasting. Other responsibilities of the department include:
- Establishing accounting principles, practices and internal control procedures
- Developing indicative pricing for customer proposals
- Payroll accounting
- Tax compliance administration and preparation
- Insurance policy procurement and management
- Annual and long-term financial forecasting
- Procurement of economic incentive benefits
- Purchasing/procurement of company goods and services
- Reporting compliance with debt covenants and other financial requirements
- Reporting financial performance measures and compliance measures to Board of Managers and Risk Oversight and Audit Committee Back to top
Human Resources

The Human Resources group is led by Trent Scott, Director of Human Resources.
This group is responsible for designing, planning and implementing human resources programs. Some of the specific areas handled by human resources include:
- Recruiting, placing and orientating new staff
- Developing and administering the company’s compensation policies
- Ensuring compliance with HR-related laws and regulations
- Designing, planning and implementing cost-effective corporate benefit programs
